Eyelids are weak, but not quite broken My voice is silent but still words are spoken The essence of me crumbles unwillingly Passers by viewing such fragility
I scream absently as you cry over me Any future together you’ll never see In last moments as gasps take shape of words An ordered release that you must move onwards
Your figure stooped and shaking softly The wind and rain howling wildly Clutching my chest as you hold on tight Your pleading wish to not give up the fight
While flashing lights dim slowly, sirens whirl into nothingness Eyes close, heart stops, this body laying cold and breathless One last lover left behind with emotions to release. People walk away as they bid a farewell and rest in peace.
